Shared Worship

The Association's member Churches typically share in worship at different times of the year:

  •  Ecumenical Sunday Winter Evening Worship Services
This winter, the Lewes-Rehoboth Association of Churches is continuing to sponsor four Sunday evenings of spiritual growth and good fellowship. In order to give more people an opportunity to hear the variety of excellent speakers we have here on the "Eastern Shore of Sussex" and to visit different churches and actively participate in various denominational services the following schedule is provided:

Feb. 12, 2006: "Sing-a-Long" at Epworth United Methodist Church, 20 Baltimore Avenue, Rehoboth. Speaker, Pr. Ed Kovacs LRAC Ministry - International Student Outreach, Pr. Ed Kovacs

Feb. 19, 2006: Lutheran Church of Our Savior, 7 Bay Vista Road, Rehoboth. Speaker, Rev. William Hopkins. LRAC Ministry – Donations Committee, Fred Wiedmann.

Feb. 26, 2006: St. Jude The Apostle Catholic Church, Tulip Drive, Lewes. Speaker, Rev. Frank Deming. LRAC Ministry - CH Food Basket, Wave Starnes & New Life Thrift Shop, Mary Broadhurst.

Mar. 5, 2006: St. Peter's Episcopal Church, Second Street, Lewes. Speaker, Rev. Thomas Johnson. LRAC Ministry - Young Life, Carrie Curry

The theme "Jesus, Our Healing Power" will be incorporated in all services to some degree. The offering taken up will be distributed to various local caregiving organizations helping to bear the burden of those in need.

All services will begin at 7:00 p.m. and last about one hour. A social, provided by the host church will follow. The evening should end around 9:00 p.m.
